Linking up with Leeann for some Monday Morning Gossip about what I did this weekend and some things about this week.
Friday
So Friday was a hard day at work...just students misbehaving. I am finding that I may not be cut out for the younger kids and that 9th grade/ 14-15 year olds may be my youngest limit. I am grateful for my job, but I think my skills/ talents/ passion lies in the high school. I vented some frustration out on social media and was humbled by the response I got from some of my old students
Anyways after a long day at work, Matt texts and says he scored tickets to his school's basketball CIF semi-finals game versus an all boys Catholic school. So off we went to cheer them on. It was pure craziness!!
they dressed up as super heroes!!
This isn't even half of the kids..450 tickets sold for our side alone!! oh and you can see Matt in the bottom Right hand corner in the blue shirt in front of the kids in white with the sombreros!!
They lost :( 44-42, but man those boys have some talent. In fact one of the seniors has a scholarship to Cal to play basketball.
Came home to a glass of wine :)
And the little girl sitting in my spot cuz she's queen of the house...apparently. :)
Saturday
Lazy day!! Matt had a baseball game, so I slept in late, which was nice... then cleaned the apartment and caught up on blogs. I also had some FaceTime with my dad, whom I haven't talked to in a while, we planned a family dinner for Sunday night. After Matt came home, we went house-hunting to some open houses in the neighborhood....which was both disappointing and motivating. Basically our plans to buy a house is on hold for another year stupid student loans messing with our plans We need to knock off some debt in order to qualify for a better loan and get a good house...oh well. We are also planning on switching apartments in our complex. I love our area and our complex, but my current apartment is too freakin' small!!! I have cabin fever!!
Anyways after much talk and naps, my Valentine's date for Matt was to take him to Cinepolis, a movie theater that serves wine, was foiled!! We wanted to see Silver Lining Playbook, but the tickets were sold out :( so next weekend will be a special date night :)
Instead of a movie, we spent our Saturday night grocery shopping and catching up on Grey's Anatomy. YES! I still watch Grey's...I can't quit it!!
Sunday
Another lazy day with some laundry more naps and grad school work. We went over to my parent's for a family dinner and had a greta time catching up. I tried shopping my sister, Stephanie's (who blogs over at Smart Style with Stephanie) closet, but I have a training this week for work and plan on being comfy with jeans and a tee shirt, so I didn't borrow anything.
We came home just in time to watch Revenge and OMG!! I love this show!! I want to be Emily Thorne!! Please someone tell me you watch and if you don't get on it, I promise you it's soo worth it!! I would recap, but I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't watched.

Thanks for linking up and the support :)))
And that is so sweet of your former students. Hopefully it all works out next year. Sounds like you had a packed weekend, hopefully it tool away some stress. Oh and I asked my dad about Matt's school - def rivals. He said one of his friend's stole Matt's school's football jerseies for the homecoming game as a prank. I guess the guy got caught hahaha! See kids are better now than they used to be ;)
Congrats on 100!!!!
And my fav drink is caramel brulee!!
YAY for reaching so many followers! I always enjoy your fashion posts and your honest and sweet attitude! Have a great week!
My favorite drink is the Caramel Macchiato YUM!!
I can't wait to see your outfit this Wednesday!
Teaching is really, really hard. I definitely can relate to those moments of feeling defeated...but I know you're a great teacher. Awesome feedback from former students!
Those are some great uplifting comments from your former students. You've obviously done a great job teaching.
Love your redneck wine glass!
My favorite Starbucks drink right now is probably passion tea lemonade. I also like their vanilla spice lattes.
Is it lame for me to say hot chocolate?
I'm with Allie, I love the hot chocolate! & the occasional caramel apple cider :)
Thanks for the giveaway!

Ahhhhhh, first of all from what I've "known" you you are a great person!!! So yeah, heads up...sometimes bad days need to happen in order to appreciate the good ones.
And for the giveaway...my favorite drink is a Vanilla Latte. So simple. :)
That was so sweet of your former students, you must be a really great teacher! ;)
I love that mason jar wine glass!!
I'm so jealous you get to shop your sister's closet...my 3 sisters all live back East (I'm in LA), so we don't get to share clothes like we used to! I miss that!
Oh! And my favorite Starbucks drink is a Grande Non-Fat Latte! (I'm even drinking on right now :))
I'm glad your old students showed you how good you really are! I hope you're feeling better about it! I love all the school spirit! I remember in high school when we made playoffs. It was insane and so much fun to caravan to games all over the state! Don't be embarrassed, I still watch Grey's too. People tease me all the time, but it's still a high rated show, so everyone else is watching it too! Haha!
Tall hot chocolate, non-fat milk, no whip. Haha! I don't drink coffee, but I love hot chocolate in the winter and smoothies in the summer.
I'm glad you got such sweet encouragement from your old students--that matters so much! Teaching can be the hardest job in the world, so you deserve to have some off days.
I can't stop w/Grey's either . . . I'll watch it till it's off the air!
Sounds like you had such a relaxing weekend! I love your wine glass! :) And I hope you have a better week with your students this week!
