First off THANK YOU SOO MUCH Aubrey of The Kinch Life Design for my fabulous blog redesign!! It looks pretty awesome, doesn't it? Aubrey was fabulous to work with and totally got my vision for what I wanted this space to look like!! I'm so excited and happy to present the new Shop.School.Sleep!!!

Random #1:
I am so excited to have hit 100 readers!! thank you thank you thank you to all who read!! It's amazing feeling to have people read what I write. I know 100 may not seem like much, but to me it's amazing!!

I had an extra day off this week and it was much needed!! It's like my school district gave me a free day to work on grad school stuff...thank you School District!!!

My Chi flat iron died on me Monday morning!! I've had it for at last 5 years and I loved it. Because of my budget/ allowance I

I am currently re-reading Where the Red Fern Grows with my seventh graders and it took everything in me to not start bawling out loud during those first 2-3 pages...I did tear up... but man, re-reading certain books as an adult is so mind-blowing... It's such a different analysis of reading. I'm excited and I think my students are too.
Random #5:
I had dinner with one of my high school best friends and holy cow!! She can cook!! I mean cook without a cookbook!! I'm so amazed she is awesome like that and can whip up some tomato soup, mashed cauliflower and lemon roasted chicken, from SCRATCH!!! I need a cookbook or recipe in front of me to make a decent meal and hope that i didn't screw up said recipe!! It was a great catch-up dinner. Thanks B!!

I never thought to re-read a book from my youth as an adult. I might have to do that and see if it affects me differently.
My flat iron is on it's last leg too but I've had it for almost 10 years! It's a Sedu and it's fabulous. I got it from folica.com.

I told you that sadly, my Hana flat iron died after a year, but I've heard good things about the GHD too. Goodness, I need to be better about budgeting--if you have any secrets, let me know!!

I love your new blog look and congrats on 100 followers! I LOVE GHD. I have two. I've never tried a Hana flat iron, but compared to everything else out there, I think GHD is the best. I'm impatiently waiting for their hair dryer to make it to the US. I forgot all about Where the Red Fern Grows. Seattle! Seattle! Seattle!
