I am currently re-reading Where the Red Fern Grows with my seventh graders and it took everything in me to not start bawling out loud during those first 2-3 pages...I did tear up... but man, re-reading certain books as an adult is so mind-blowing... It's such a different analysis of reading. I'm excited and I think my students are too.
I had dinner with one of my high school best friends and holy cow!! She can cook!! I mean cook without a cookbook!! I'm so amazed she is awesome like that and can whip up some tomato soup, mashed cauliflower and lemon roasted chicken, from SCRATCH!!! I need a cookbook or recipe in front of me to make a decent meal and hope that i didn't screw up said recipe!! It was a great catch-up dinner. Thanks B!!
